What would this look like if it were EASY?
“What would this look like if it were easy?” The question is from a Tim Ferris blog post and was the topic of a recent TLC meeting. Wish I knew about this question in the early days of sobriety, but I’m putting it to good use now.
It's normal to get ahead of ourselves and complicate things. When considering sobriety, so many thoughts come up. Will I not drink forever? What will other people think? What will I do?
What would it look like if it were easy?
Another phrase that stopped me in my tracks recently is “Everything is neutral until you label it”. Michael O’Brien said that on a recent Rich Roll Podcast episode.
Life isn’t easy right now and I don’t have much to say. The midlife sandwich of teenage kids and aging parents is here. Pondering these phrases eases some of the pressure and opens my heart.
I’ll leave you with these two thoughts to chew on and come up with your answers. I hope it releases some pressure and opens your heart.

PS - If you’re in the midlife sandwich too I’ll tell you one thing - being sober makes it easier.
